A flat or matte finish gives the appearance of slight texture but with minimal sheen. This type of paint finish is best suited for areas that require wiping such as counter tops and kitchen islands, but will generally wear off easily with lots of use. 

Semi-Gloss Kitchen Cabinets

Slightly more shiny than a matte finish, semi-gloss appears smooth and bright giving your cabinets a rich look. This type of paint finish is great for kitchens requiring frequent cleaning and handling such as kitchen cupboards and dining room furniture.
